The three-day event will bring together 5-6 project teams to develop an evidence-based technology solution (app) to meet a defined need within the autism community.

apps4autism will be facilitated by a professional group of Hackathon event organisers and CRC staff. They will provide expert mentoring and support the teams to develop their solutions.

Teams will be made up of researchers, people on the spectrum (Autistic UX experts), parents, carers and partners of people on the spectrum, professionals, clinicians, educators, service providers (Community UX experts). This will ensure our solutions (apps) will be grounded in community need and reflective of the most current evidence and best practice.
